Terms of Service

ShowStart is a production operations software platform designed to assist event production professionals, production companies, and event operators in reviewing, analyzing, and managing production documentation. The platform leverages AI-assisted analysis to surface operational risks, equipment gaps, coordination conflicts, and readiness concerns within uploaded production documents. ShowStart is an operational assistance tool. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, on-site inspection, or qualified production management. All analysis outputs are advisory in nature.

By accessing or using ShowStart, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are accessing ShowStart on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You agree to use ShowStart only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may use the platform to: • Upload and organize production documentation for operational review • Generate AI-assisted readiness and risk analysis reports • Manage projects, documents, and production workflows • Share analysis outputs with your team and production stakeholders You agree not to use ShowStart to upload content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or in violation of any third-party rights. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to upload any documents or files submitted to the platform.

You retain full ownership of all documents, files, and data you upload to ShowStart. By uploading content, you grant ShowStart a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and analyze that content solely for the purpose of providing platform functionality and services to you. ShowStart does not claim any ownership rights over your production documents, quotes, riders, stage plots, site maps, or any other materials you upload. Your content remains your property at all times. The ShowStart platform, including its design, software, analysis algorithms, and AI models, is the exclusive intellectual property of ShowStart and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the platform.

ShowStart's AI-assisted analysis is designed to assist production professionals in identifying potential operational issues. However: • All analysis outputs are advisory recommendations only • ShowStart does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any analysis report for any specific production scenario • Analysis outputs should be reviewed and validated by qualified production professionals before being relied upon for operational decisions • Final production responsibility, safety decisions, and operational execution remain solely with the production company, event operator, and relevant vendors ShowStart is not liable for any production failures, safety incidents, financial losses, or operational issues arising from reliance on platform analysis outputs. The platform is a decision-support tool, not a replacement for professional on-site production management.

As a ShowStart user, you are responsible for: • Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials • Ensuring that uploaded documents are accurate and reflect current production plans • Verifying that all uploaded files are documents you are authorized to share • Reviewing all AI-generated analysis reports with qualified professional judgment • Not sharing your account access with unauthorized individuals • Promptly notifying ShowStart of any unauthorized access to your account You acknowledge that the quality and accuracy of analysis outputs are directly dependent on the quality and completeness of the documents you upload.

ShowStart offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis as described at the time of purchase. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize ShowStart to charge your payment method on the applicable billing cycle. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. ShowStart reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the platform after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access to paid features will continue through the end of the paid period.

ShowStart reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, the platform, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting ShowStart support. Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data retention policies. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability — shall survive termination.

You agree not to engage in any of the following: • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or other user accounts • Using automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the platform • Uploading malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to compromise platform integrity • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of the platform • Reselling, sublicensing, or commercializing platform access without written authorization • Uploading documents containing personal data of third parties without appropriate authorization • Using the platform to generate analysis intended to mislead, deceive, or harm third parties • Circumventing any usage limits, access controls, or subscription restrictions

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShowStart and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, production revenue, event cancellation costs, or data loss — arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. ShowStart's total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you to ShowStart in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, ShowStart's liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ShowStart shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction, as determined by ShowStart. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
